About Andrew
A self-taught student of photography, Andrew Green Harris has been delivering professional photography services for product, emerging fashion, commercial, select individual, real estate, and fine art for several years now.
As a technology driven person he enjoys the technical aspects of photography as well as the evidence captured on whatever medium be it film or flash card. “Traveling through South America really opened my eyes to various cultures and life-situations that drew me behind the lens.” Since then Andrew has been very active in Architecture and Real Estate Photography. “To me there is just something really exciting about capturing angles and light that makes a space really come to life”
Most recently Andrew has relocated to Durango, Colorado. Several friends and relatives have asked Andrew why? His response, “Why not?”
From working in his hometown hardware store all through high school then after attending college going to work in Commercial Sales for a building supply company, Andrew has experience with people; something many artist lack. “People tend to be relaxed around me, they don’t know it but I am really listening to what they want before the shoot so I am already doing what they asked which everyone likes a guy that follows directions well.”
Andrew’s desire for technology thrust him head first into the world of the Internet and his technology career took off thereafter and he has not looked back once. “Technology changes daily, it is amazing to watch something evolve over time. Such as an application from an idea, or creatively using an application to really bring out the characteristics of a photograph. It is all relative.”
On his new adventure Andrew wants to explore Colorado, fish for browns, and always have his camera near by. “I have some experience in action photography but adventure photography is probably a life long goal of mine that I am actually starting to see might become a reality. I have a lot to learn, but that’s what it is all about.”
